Novec 1230 is a high molecular weight material compared with the first generation of halocarbonated cleaning agents. The product has a vaporization heat of 8.1 kJ/KGA and a low steam pressure.
The Novec 1230 is a fluid that doesn't harm the ozone layer and has an existing life at the atmosphere of 5 days and a potential global heating of one. It's also not tied to restrictive or withdrawal regulations.

Its acute low toxicity combined with a high extinction efficiency gives to Novec 1230 largest security marine than any other halocarbonated agent, CO2 or inert mixed gas, even in high extinction concentrations.
